1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the Co-Driver mobile app, this website, and related account support. Co-Driver is an independent motorsport companion and is responsible for the information described here.
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to codriveradmin@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: email address, account identifier, authentication status, and information needed to secure and recover your account.
- Profile and preferences: display name, followed drivers, notification choices, spoiler preferences, and other settings you choose.
- Notification information: device push token, delivery preferences, and limited delivery status needed to send and troubleshoot alerts.
- Shared information: only the profile or driver-card information you deliberately choose to share. Account email and private settings are not included in shared profiles.
- Support information: messages, screenshots, and other details you send when requesting help.
- Technical information: limited service logs and error details used for security, reliability, and troubleshooting.
Co-Driver does not receive your account password in readable form. Authentication is handled by our service provider.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- create, authenticate, recover, and protect your account;
- save your followed drivers and app preferences;
- show schedules, results, standings, and personalised app views;
- send requested account emails and notifications;
- operate optional sharing features you activate;
- respond to support and privacy requests; and
- detect problems, prevent abuse, and improve service reliability.
We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party behavioural advertising.
4. Service providers
Co-Driver relies on specialist providers to operate the service. These currently include Supabase for account and database services, Expo for app and push-notification infrastructure, and Resend for transactional product email. They process information for Co-Driver under their own security and privacy terms.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the service or its users, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate safeguards.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep account information while your account is active and retain other records only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes in this policy, including security, support, legal obligations, and resolving delivery failures. Retention can also be affected by backup cycles and provider requirements.
You may request account deletion by emailing codriveradmin@gmail.com from your account email. We may verify ownership before deleting information.
6. Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can also change app preferences and notification permissions through the app and device settings.
Contact us to exercise a privacy right. If local law gives you a right to complain to a privacy regulator, you may do so.
7. Security and international processing
We use technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect account information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their contractual and legal safeguards.
8. Children
Co-Driver is not designed for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
9. Website data
This informational website does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. Basic hosting and security logs may still be generated by the hosting provider.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Co-Driver changes. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel before they take effect when required.
